Group Tours

Group Jeep Tour with Treasure Hunt

At A Day in the West, we have completely re-invented the Treasure Hunt for organizations during one of our Jeep Tours. Retaining all the excitement and playfulness of one of our jeep tours, we have transformed the activity into an educational and fun experience. Your group will break up into teams, with one team on a jeep. Each team will chose a team captain, and will then chose a name, with a western theme (like Outlaws), for their team. The goal is to work as a team to answer questions and find items to help their team earn the most points. When the jeep tour concludes, our Team Building Specialist will add up the points earned by each team and award Certificates. Including a lunch or cookout at the end of this event makes for a wonderful day. Please call the main office directly to set up your group tour with A Day in the West at 1-800-973-3662 or 928-2824320.

Group Jeep Tour - Walk & Picnic

Chose from any of our Jeep Tours, 1 ½ to 2 or 3 hours in length; mild, moderate, or wild, and then include an easy ½ mile walk along Oak Creek, lead by a naturalist at Red Rock State Park. The naturalist will educate your group all about the local plants indigenous to this Riparian area. They will also view some ancient pictographs along the way and will learn about the geology of the area, and how our wonderful red rocks were formed. This beautiful walk will be followed by a sandwich picnic lunch under one of the picnic Ramadas. Time to enjoy the museum and gift shop can also be included.

Group Jeep Tour - Horseback Ride

Do it all on our most popular tour! After a thrilling 2 hour jeep tour, you will be transported over to the Verde River for a 1 ½ hour horseback ride with creek crossings. After the horseback ride, you will ride your horse over to the Blazin M Ranch for a Chuckwagon Supper and Live Western Stage Show. This tour is available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Group Horseback Rides

All our horseback riding takes place at Deadhorse State Park in Cottonwood, an easy 30 minute ride from Sedona. (Groups can be transported to the Park, or can go there directly) All rides take place along the banks of the Verde River, and include river crossings. We offer either a one hour or an hour and one and one-half hour ride.

Weddings on the Rocks

If you are planning a small wedding, let us help you plan an intimate day “on the rocks” with a western flair. We will transport you and your guests to a special location among the red rocks of Sedona for a memorable wedding. You can provide your own officiant or let our American Indian Minister help you plan your special ceremony.

We can also provide special photographic packages from processing your own images to providing a professional photographer to document your special day.

In addition to the ceremony you may wish to schedule a fun jeep tour for your guests. We offer competitive group rates and friendly detail oriented services.

Transportation: One jeep (can hold seven adults) to and from the site - $300
Note: Taxes and a gratuity for the driver will be added to this fee.

Officiant: Mario Black Wolf is a American Indian Minister who will perform a wedding ceremony if you wish. Mr. Black Wolf in turns donates generously to two charities: Saint Joseph Indian School in Montana and Native America Aids Foundation in San Francisco.
